A pickup truck and Caltrans tractor collided Thursday afternoon near a freeway interchange in Corona, leaving one person injured.

The wreck happened about 2:30 p.m. on the eastbound Riverside (91) Freeway connector, just east of the Corona (71) Expressway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The agency said the Ford F-150 and tractor collided in the slow lane, resulting in unspecified injuries to the tractor operator, who was treated at the scene by paramedics. The other driver was not hurt.

The circumstances behind the crash were unclear.

CHP officers shut down two traffic lanes for public safety, and a SigAlert was issued about 3 p.m. because of the crash and tie-ups.

All lanes were expected to be reopened shortly after 4 p.m.
