An explosion occurred at a water reclamation facility in Corona Friday, but no one was injured.
The explosion occurred at 3:52 p.m. in a biosolids drying structure at the Water Reclamation Facility #1 in the 2200 block of Railroad Street, according to Tom Moody, general manager of the Corona Department of Water and Power.
The explosion did not release any chemicals from the facility, and no firefighters, staff or civilians were injured, Moody said.
The Corona Fire Department and Corona Department of Water and Power are investigating the cause of the explosion.
The extent of the damage from the explosion is unknown, but the facility remains operation, according to Moody.
