A Silver Alert was in effect Tuesday morning for a 66-year-old man who suffers from an undisclosed medical condition, may become disoriented and was last seen in Temecula.
Robert Barry Bennett was last seen about 2 p.m. Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Bennett is 6 foot tall and weighs 220 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. He was believed to be wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a red bandana around his face, the CHP said.
He is driving a light blue 1996 Ford F-350 truck with California license plate number 5WTB738, the CHP said.
Anyone with information on Bennett’s whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The purpose of the Silver Alert program is to establish a quick response system designed to issue and coordinate alerts following the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of an elderly person, or a person who is developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired, according to the CHP.
