Firefighters quickly extinguished a structure fire in La Quinta Wednesday that displaced four residents, but no injuries were reported.
The blaze was reported at 3:47 p.m. at a house in the 43400 block of Calle Espada, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to a single room in the house, the department reported at 4:15 p.m.
The American Red Cross was called into to assist four residents who were displaced due to the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
