Firefighters cut out a man who became trapped in the wreckage of a rollover crash east of Mecca Saturday.
The crash was reported at 8:42 a.m. at Box Canyon and Painted Canyon roads, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man was freed by firefighters and flown to a hospital in an air ambulance with moderate injuries, the Riverside County Fire Department said.
Fire crews advised the CHP that the driver of the pickup truck may have been intoxicated, according to a CHP incident report, though it was unclear if the driver was the person who was injured.
