A car was partially consumed by fire Wednesday alongside the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway in Riverside, but no injuries were reported.
The blaze was reported about 3 p.m. on the eastbound 60 at the Riverside (91) Freeway transition, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Several Riverside Fire Department engine crews were sent to the location and encountered flames raging in the engine compartment of the white Kia, which was parked on the shoulder of the freeway, according to reports from the scene.
The driver safely exited the car after stopping on the freeway.
Firefighters knocked down blaze within 15 minutes, and the car was towed from the location shortly before 4 p.m.
No lanes were closed because of the fire.
