A motorcyclist killed in a collision with a vehicle on southbound Interstate 215 in Perris was identified Thursday as 58-year-old Menifee man.
Frank Jones was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which was reported about 1:40 a.m. Wednesday near Harley Knox Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Arriving officers found Jones down in the No. 1 lane and debris scattered across the freeway, spurring a stretch of southbound lanes to shut down for several hours. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
