Long Beach officials reported another four deaths and 44 newly confirmed cases of the coronavirus Saturday.
The city — which has its own health department — has now logged 2,227 total cases of COVID-19 and 99 fatalities since the pandemic began.
All 99 of the fatalities were people who had underlying health conditions. Fifty-four were men and 45 were women.
The number of people hospitalized with the virus stood at 76, with about 1,583 people having recovered.
A total of 631 positive cases have been confirmed at 26 of the city’s 93 long-term care facilities.
