An investigation was underway Monday into the cause of a three-vehicle collision in a Riverside intersection that left a woman hospitalized in critical condition and also injured five others.
The crash was reported Sunday at 10:12 p.m. in the intersection of Central and Streeter avenues, according to Riverside Fire Department Battalion Chief Jeff DeLaurie. One of the vehicles crashed through a fence and ended up on the lawn of a nearby home.
Firefighters freed a woman stuck in one of the vehicles and transported her to an area hospital with injuries described as critical.
A man about 35 years old was taken to a hospital with injuries described as moderate, and a family of four suffered minor injuries, authorities said.
