The city of Riverside’s Passport Services Office will reopen on July 15 for appointment-only customers, who will be required to abide by health protocols before they’re served, it was announced Wednesday.

The office has been closed since the City Council declared a local emergency on March 16 stemming from the coronavirus pandemic.

According to city spokesman Phil Pitchford, walk-in appointments at the office, which is located within the Casa Blanca Resource Center at 3025 Madison St., will not be allowed for the time being. However, appointments scheduled in advance can be made anytime.

“Arrive within 15 minutes prior to appointment time,” Pitchford said. “Being prepared with all documentation and fees will ensure same-day service. Face masks and social distancing are required.”
