A brush fire in Thermal was quickly stopped Sunday evening.
The fire was reported at 9:30 p.m. in the 67000 block of Polk Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Firefighters stopped the forward progress of the fire at a quarter-acre, officials said.
