A brush fire burned two acres east of Perris Wednesday before firefighters were able to get a handle on it.
The non-injury fire was reported at 1:55 p.m. near the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Pico Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The forward spread of the blaze was stopped by about 2:40 p.m. but fire crews remained at the scene to strengthen containment lines and extinguish hot spots.
