A multi-vehicle crash on the Pomona (60) Freeway east of Moreno Valley in the Badlands area caused traffic to back up Friday.
The collision was reported at 11:27 a.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway, just east of Gilman Springs Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One caller told a CHP dispatcher that up to seven vehicles may have been involved.
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics were dispatched to the scene, but it was not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the crash.
According to the CHP, some motorists were trying to bypass the wreck by driving on the shoulder.
