The city of Pasadena Sunday reported its youngest person to die from complications due to COVID-19 — a 30-year-old man, a spokeswoman said.
“The man had several underlying health conditions that pre-disposed him to severe illness,” said Lisa Derderian, the city’s public information officer. “Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family from our city family.”
Derderian also said the city was reporting 30 new coronavirus cases Sunday, with the infections dating back to the Fourth of July weekend.
The city now has 1,700 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 102 deaths.
