Two residents were displaced Thursday after their home caught fire in Desert Hot Springs.
The non-injury blaze was reported at 12:22 p.m. in the 16000 block of Avenida Descanso, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Responding firefighters encountered a single-family home with fire blazing in the attic.
Personnel with the American Red Cross were summoned to assist the displaced residents, officials said.
There was not immediate word on what sparked the fire.
