The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose a half-cent Sunday to $3.182, its highest amount since March 21.

The average price is six-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 4.1 cents higher than one month ago, but 41.2 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped 32.6 cents since the start of the year.

The average price rose six times in eight days through Wednesday, increasing 1.5 cents, recorded back-to-back decreases totaling a half-cent Thursday and Friday and increased two-tenths of a cent on Saturday.
