A Cabazon carport fire Monday spread to a house and surrounding brush before firefighters from multiple agencies were able to gain the upper hand.
The non-injury blaze was reported at 3:35 p.m. in the 50000 block of Dolores Avenue and extinguished less than an hour later, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Responding firefighters encountered a carport on fire, and the flames spread to the home and then to nearby vegetation before firefighters doused the blaze. County firefighters were assisted by U.S. Forest Service and Morongo Reservation Fire Department personnel.
The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
