The California Highway Patrol was investigating a fatal crash along the northbound Moreno Valley (215) Freeway at University Avenue in Riverside Sunday, authorities said.
The agency responded to a three-vehicle collision at 3:27 a.m., a dispatcher in the Inland Communications Center said.
CHP officers shut down multiple lanes during the investigation, but no information was released on the fatality.
A SigAlert was issued at 4:02 a.m.
As of 5:30 a.m. officers were still on the scene, the dispatcher said.
