First responders Tuesday raced to the Armed Forces (215) Freeway at Van Buren Boulevard, where one person was reported trapped after a traffic collision that produced a fatality, authorities said.
The Riverside accident happened about 6:40 a.m., according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher.
At least four vehicles appeared to have been involved in the crash on the southbound side of the freeway, according to the CHP.
A SIG Alert was issued at 6:51 a.m. for two lanes, but that was extended to all lanes heading south at 7 a.m.
