An estimated 200 customers lost power Friday in Mecca, along with an unspecified number of customers in Indio and Thermal.
The Imperial Irrigation District reported about 7:20 a.m. the loss of power in portions of Indio and Thermal, followed by the issues in Mecca about 20 minutes later.
Causes for the outages were not given.
Troubleshooters were working to fix the issues, IID officials said.
Power was expected to be restored to the 200 Mecca customers between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., officials said.
No restoration time was provided for the other customers.
