Seven people were displaced by a house fire in Rancho Mirage Friday.
Firefighters were dispatched at 4:57 a.m. to the 38000 block of Cal Idaho Drive and had the blaze out about 40 minutes later, the Riverside County Fire Department reported.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
Fire officials said the American Red Cross was requested to assist the two adults and five children displaced by the fire.
