An estimated 2,222 customers lost power Thursday in the cities of Indio and La Quinta.
The Imperial Irrigation District reported the Indio outage about 2:35 p.m., followed by the outage in La Quinta about 4 p.m.
Causes for the outages were not given, and neither was an estimated restoration time for either city.
Crews were working to fix the issues, IID officials said.
