A motorist killed when his vehicle veered off a roadway and crashed in Corona was identified Monday as a 54-year-old local resident.
Bryan Metzger suffered fatal injuries about 6:40 p.m. Sunday on Temescal Canyon Road between Tom Barnes and La Gloria streets and was pronounced dead at the scene, according Riverside County coroner’s officials.
The California Highway Patrol initially reported that a witness thought they saw someone leaving the crash scene on foot. But CHP Officer Juan Quintero said Monday that Metzger was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation, and alcohol or drugs have not been ruled out, the officer said.
