About 40 people were displaced by a fire that destroyed 19 prefabricated residential structures and damaged another in Banning Sunday.
The non-injury fire ignited at around 12:50 p.m. in the 1900 block of East Ramsey Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The blaze also burned a quarter-acre of vegetation before firefighters stopped its forward progress, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
The American Red Cross was requested to aid the people who were displaced by the blaze.
Crews were planning to remain at the scene for at least another four hours to perform salvage and overhaul.
