At least one person suffered injuries Friday morning when a car crashed and caught fire prior to overturning on the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway.
The solo vehicle crash was reported at 8:35 a.m. on the westbound freeway, east of Gilman Springs Road, just outside the Moreno Valley city limits, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Toyota Corolla landed in the fast lane, causing first responders to temporarily halt westbound traffic to clean up the wreckage.
At least one person was taken to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity, officials said.
