One person was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Jurupa Valley, sheriff’s officials said Saturday.
The crash between a Jeep Cherokee and a BMW happened about 7:15 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Rubidoux Boulevard and 26th Street, the Riverside County Fire Department reported.
First responders found the driver of the Jeep, a woman, unresponsive at the scene and performed life-saving measures before she was taken to a hospital where she later died.
The Jeep’s passenger was ejected from the vehicle when it was broadsided by the BMW and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The driver of the BMW was also taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Fire officials said both drivers had to be cut out of the wreckage.
The crash is under investigation and it was unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor, according to the sheriff’s department.
