The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose Saturday for the 19th consecutive day, increasing 1.2 cents to $3.32, its highest amount since March 16.
The average price has risen 14 cents over the past 19 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 4.4 cents higher than one week ago and 18.5 cents more than one month ago, but 17.7 cents less than one year ago.
“The California Energy Commission reported (Wednesday) that gasoline inventories are at a three-month low, probably due to the start of the annual refinery maintenance period,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
