Actor Kevin Spacey is facing sexual assault charges Thursday, Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service announced.
Spacey was charged with four counts of sexual assault against three men, according to media reports. The Crown Prosecution Service said Spacey is also charged with causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.
An investigation by the Metropolitan Police reviewing evidence led to the charges against Spacey.
The alleged incidents took place in London between March 2005 and August 2008, and in western England in April 2013, Fox 11 is reporting.
Spacey, 62, is a two-time Academy Award winner and was questioned by British police in 2019 about assault claims made by several men. He ran London’s Old Vic Theatre between 2004 and 2015.
