A mother bear and two cubs rummaged through neighborhood trash cans in Claremont Tuesday.

Residents in the 4200 block of New Hampshire Avenue reported the three bears were seeking some just right snacks, knocking over trash containers, around 3:25 a.m., according to the Claremont Police Department.

Video recorded at the location showed the bears in the front yard of a home.

One of the bears climbed a tree at one point and when the two young bruins were unable to scale a block wall climbed by their mother, they used an open gate to go around.

The bears eventually made their way back toward the mountains, police said.
