The cause of a structure fire in Santa Fe Springs was under investigation Tuesday.

A fire broke out around 8 p.m. Monday at the Universal Asphalt Co. Inc. building at 10610 Painter Avenue, a Whittier Police Department spokesperson said.

No injuries were reported and no evacuation orders were issued, police said.

The fire was extinguished by the Santa Fe Springs Fire Department and police officers temporarily closed surrounding streets, according to police.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.

Further details on the extent of the damage from the fire were not immediately available.

Video from the scene shows firefighters working to extinguish the rising flames on the roof of the building.
