While cooler temperatures will stick around for a few more days, the National Weather Service on Monday predicted a return to hot weather by the end of the week.
Forecasters predicted highs hovering around 80 degrees for Monday through Wednesday in downtown Los Angeles and in the low 70s along the coast.
However, by Thursday, temperatures are predicted to jump at least 10 degrees with highs in the mid to upper 90s through Sunday in downtown Los Angeles and 80s along the coast.
The UV index is also expected to remain high, according to the National Weather Service. The UV index reading indicates what the UV exposure is expected to be at noon, when the sun’s rays are at their strongest.
