The Los Angeles-area will be sunny and cool on the first day of 2015, with highs in the mid 50s to lower 60s.

Thursday night will be clear with areas of frost developing late. Lows will be in the mid 30s to mid 40s.
Friday is forecast to be sunny with highs around 60. West winds around 15 mph are likely in the afternoon.
The South Coast Air Quality Management District predicted air quality that will be in the good to moderate range on Thursday in the South Coast Air Basin.
