It will be mostly sunny and cool in the Los Angeles area on Saturday, with highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s and south winds around 15 mph in the afternoon.
The National Weather Service said a cold weather alert continues for the San Fernando, Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys. Wind chill temperatures could dip below 32 degrees through Sunday.
The South Coast Air Quality Management District has issued a no-burn alert for the region because of fire-particle air pollution. Residents should not burn wood in fireplaces.
The forecast for Saturday night will be mostly clear with lows in the 40s to around 50. West winds around 15 mph are forecast.
Sunday will be sunny and warmer with highs in the mid 60s to around 70.
