If you’re tired of hot weather, just hold on for a few more days: a major cooling trend and even possible showers will be here soon.
The National Weather Service forecast for Los Angeles and vicinity on Thursday calls again for partly cloudy skies in the morning then becoming sunny. Highs at local beaches will continue to hover around 80 through Saturday and the mid-80s in downtown Los Angeles and other inland and valley areas.
Thursday night it will be mostly clear in the evening then areas of low clouds and fog. Lows in the mid to upper 60s. partly cloudy early followed by low clouds and fog. Lows will be in the mid 50s to lower 60s.
The forecast for Friday and Saturday is for much of the same kind of weather – but then watch out for Sunday. Highs will dip down to the mid-70s inland and low 70s at the beaches on the final day of the weekend. There’s even a chance of showers for Sunday at the beaches, spreading inland Monday.
In Coastal Orange County the forecast for Thursday calls mostly sunny skies in the morning then becoming partly cloudy. Highs 78 to 83.
Thursday night it will be partly cloudy. Lows 62 to 67.
Friday it will be partly cloudy in the morning then becoming mostly sunny. Highs around 78.
The ultraviolet index level in the Los Angeles area for Thursday is a high 7, according to the weather service. A high exposure level reading of 7-9 means that a person could be sunburned in 7-8 minutes.
