Officials with the Mexican Consulate in Los Angeles have established a hotline for the Southland Mexican community to keep up-to-date on the effects of Hurricane Patricia.

The hotline is (213) 219-0175. Consulate officials also said they would post updates on the Twitter page, @ConsulMexLan; as well as on its website and Facebook page.

According to the consulate, officials updates will also be provided online at proteccioncivil.gob.mx and on Twitter pages @PcSegob, @LuisFelipe_P and @conagua_clima.

The consulate also provided phone numbers for temporary shelters set up in:

  • Jalisco, 013-22-224-7701
  • Colima, 013-12-313-0311
  • And Nayarit, 013-11-133-0381.
