The Los Angeles area can expect mild weekend weather punctuated by high surf along the beaches.
The National Weather Service forecast for central Los Angeles from Malibu to Long Beach on Saturday calls for patchy fog in the morning followed by partly cloudy conditions with highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s. Lows overnight will be in the 50s, and Sunday will see highs in the 70s.
A high surf advisory is in effect until 9 p.m. Sunday. Breakers of 6 to 12 feet are expected across the west facing beaches of Los Angeles.
Coastal Orange County can expect highs of 68 to 73 under partly cloudy skies. Lows overnight will be 46 to 50, and Sunday will warm up to 66 to 71.
