This Memorial Day holiday weekend may be the Goldilocks of weather in the Southland – not too hot, not too cold, but just right.
Daytime temperatures will range from the mid-70s inland to the low to mid-80s in the valleys. Beaches will be a bit on the cool side with highs nearing 70.
Overnight lows everywhere will be in the upper 50s and low 60s.
Skies will be partly cloudy or clear after a bit of overnight fog near the coast.
But hang on – there’s a warming trend ahead. While it’ll be too late for the three-day holiday this weekend, temperatures should climb into the 80s around downtown Los Angeles and other inland areas a week later.

In Coastal Orange County the forecast for Friday calls for a cloudy morning and then becoming partly cloudy. Highs 66 to 71.
Friday night it will be partly cloudy in the evening and then becoming cloudy. Lows 55 to 60.
Saturday it will be cloudy in the morning and then becoming partly cloudy. Highs 66 to 71.
The ultraviolet index level in the Los Angeles area for Friday is a very high 10, according to the weather service. A very high exposure level reading of 10, or greater, means a fair skinned person could suffer a sunburn in about four minutes if not protected.
