It will be partly cloudy and cool Saturday in Los Angeles, but forecasters are warning of fire weather by Sunday.
The National Weather Service office in Oxnard said highs in central Los Angeles will be from the lower to mid 70s at the beaches and from the lower to mid 80s inland. Overnight lows will be in the lower to mid 60s.
Coastal Orange County will be sunny with highs 73 to 78.
An unseasonably strong upper level trough will move across Northern California later in the weekend, causing northwest to north winds with gusts 40 to 50 mph. Humidities will fall to 10 to 20 percent.
The combination of gusty winds, low humidity and very dry fuels, along with warm temperatures, will create the potential for critical fire weather conditions.
