Fall doesn’t officially arrive until Sept. 22, but the next few days will sure feel like it.

The National Weather Service forecast for Los Angeles and vicinity on Thursday calls for patchy fog in the morning them, then gradual clearing, with a high near 76.

Thursday night expect patchy fog with increasing clouds. Low around 62.

The forecast for Friday calls for early morning patchy fog, then gradual clearing, with a high near 76.

In Coastal Orange County the forecast for Thursday calls for low clouds in the morning then partly cloudy. Highs

73 to 78.

Thursday night it will be partly cloudy in the evening then low clouds. Lows 60 to 65

Friday expect low clouds in the morning then mostly sunny. Highs 73 to 78.

The ultraviolet index level in the Los Angeles area for Thursday is a very high 10, according to the weather service. A very high exposure level reading of 10, or greater, means a fair skinned person could suffer a sunburn in about four minutes if not protected.
