The death of a male in Sun Valley struck and killed by an Amtrak train may have been an accident, authorities said Monday..
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 1:14 p.m. Sunday to the 7400 block of North Coldwater Canyon Avenue, where the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The case was under investigation as an “accident versus suicide,” coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said.
The age of the male and his name have not been released pending family notification.
