A big rig went over the side of the President Barack H. Obama (134) Highway near Figueroa Street in Eagle Rock Thursday morning and a SigAlert was in effect for an unknown duration until the big rig can be pulled out.

The crash occurred around 2:10 a.m. and it was unclear if it was rain related, according to Officer P. Nicholson of the California Highway Patrol.

The driver said he was side-swiped by a vehicle and that caused him to go over the embankment, ABC7 reported.

The call came out as an injury accident, but no injury details were immediately available, Nicholson said.

Some fuel leaked from the truck and got into the soil and onto a street, but it was unclear how much spilled, according to a CHP incident log.
