Los Angeles County authorities announced Tuesday that several winter shelters will remain open around the clock during this week’s anticipated rainy and cooler weather.

Seven shelters will remain open until 7 a.m. Friday:

— Bridge to Home-Santa Clarita;

— Volunteers of America-Pomona;

— Weingart Center-Skid Row;

— First to Serve-West LA Armory;

— Bethel AME-South Los Angeles;

— Bryant Temple-South Los Angeles; and

— Home At Last-South Los Angeles.

The Hope of the Valley shelter in Pacoima will be open until 7 a.m. Thursday. Times are subject to change. People in need of shelter can call Hope of the Valley at (818) 527-5933 for more information.

The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority has also opened Bassett Park, a shelter at 510 N. Vineland Ave. in La Puente, which will operate until Thursday at 4 p.m. People can contact Volunteers of America-Pomona at (909) 594-4796 to inquire about transportation.
