A power outage near the 7th Street/Metro Center Station in downtown Los Angeles is impacting service Friday evening on Metro’s A and E lines.
The power loss occurred about 7:15 p.m. and repair crews were sent to the scene to assess the damage and determine what repairs were needed for the overhead power lines, according to Dave Sotero, Metro’s communications manager.
A Line trains are running from Long Beach to the Grand Station and returning to downtown Long Beach.
E Line trains are operating from Santa Monica to the LATTC/Ortho Institute Station and returning back to the Downtown Santa Monica Station, Sotero said.
Buses will take riders in both directions between the 7th Street/Metro Center Station and the Grand/LATTC and Washington stations. Customers may also use the Silver Line as an alternative, Sotero said.
Metro is making announcements on all lines to alert riders about the disruption, Sotero said.
An estimated time for when train service would return to normal was not disclosed.
