Jason Statham fought his way to the top of the box office this weekend as director Guy Ritchie’s action film “Wrath of Man” opened with $8.1 million, according to industry estimates out Sunday.

The Japanese anime epic “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train,” last week’s top-grossing film, was in second place with $3 million Friday through Sunday at theaters in the United States and Canada, Comscore reported.

“Mortal Combat” was third with $2.375 million.

“Godzilla vs. Kong” was fourth with $1.93 million and has now made and $92.6 million in North America and $422 million globally in six weeks in theaters.

Fifth place went to “Raya and the Last Dragon” with $1.865 million.

Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases, as estimated by Comscore, were “Separation” ($1.075 million), “Here Today” ($900,000), “Nobody” ($760,000), “The Unholy” ($730,000) and “Tom & Jerry” ($426,000).
