California Highway Patrol officers will conduct a sobriety/driver’s license checkpoint Saturday in Lancaster.
The checkpoint is scheduled to run from 7 p.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Avenue K and Elm Avenue, according to the CHP.
It will be manned by CHP uniformed officers trained in detecting alcohol- and drug-impaired drivers. Officers will also be using handheld, blood-alcohol testing devices which provide an accurate indication of alcoholic beverage consumption.
