Once again, lane closures are coming next week in both directions of the Golden State (5) Freeway near Castaic for ongoing pavement work.
From Monday to next Friday, one northbound and one southbound lane of the freeway may be closed at various locations between Lake Hugues Road to three miles south of Templin Highway, according to Caltrans.
The closures were scheduled between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily, the state transportation agency announced.
The pavement rehabilitation project started in 2022 and involves replacement of concrete slabs, upgrades to drainage systems and guardrails, repairs and stabilization of slopes and constructing a retaining wall, according to Caltrans.
