
A multi-alarm fire in a pallet yard in South Los Angeles was knocked down in just over an hour, authorities said.
The fire was reported in the 1600 block of East 48th Place around 3:20 a.m., Friday, and brought under control in about 70 minutes.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, which was fought by 72 firefighters from 10 companies, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Katherine Main.
