A Pasadena police officer was accidentally shot in a leg by a partner, but his injury was not life-threatening, authorities said Monday.
The accidental discharge occurred in the department’s parking structure about 8 p.m. Friday at the end of the officers’ shift, according to Pasadena police.
The injured officer was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released and is now off until medically cleared for duty, police said.
The other officer is on paid administrative leave as the department conducts an internal administrative investigation.
