The decomposing body of a man, possibly in his 20s, was found in the ocean off the coast of Venice Tuesday.
The body was found about 10:30 a.m. Coroner’s investigator James Deming said the man still had not been identified.
County lifeguard officials said the body was spotted by a surfer in the area roughly along 18th Avenue in Venice. The body was recovered by sheriff’s officials from the Marina del Rey station and brought to shore.
