At least one person was killed Saturday when a vehicle went over the side of a road in Green Valley and set off a half-acre brush fire.
The accident was reported at 6:26 p.m. in the 39800 block of Calle El Clavelito, where the vehicle reportedly went 150 feet off the road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident was confirmed as a fatality shortly before 7 p.m., and the coroner was requested, according to the CHP.
The resulting flames were put out after consuming a half-acre of brush, Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Kyle Sanford said.
